Seriously though, I have taken a bazillion dance classes throughout my life as well as classes of all sorts and understand and appreciate the value a gifted teacher.
Mark is so freaking gifted at identifying your weakness and opportunity for growth. He is incredibly intuitive. He read me like a book and knew the best way to teach me and he nailed it! He actually said to me: “You are not someone who is going to do something unless you know why, so let me explain.” and he was spot on. I listerally just told my chiropractor that I needed to understand or I would not do it.
Also, as a woman, learning dance from a man, as engaging, funny, and even one to give you a hug, I have never felt any uncomfortable sexual energy coming towards me from Mark. This is key for women just wanting to learn to dance and be respected! 🙌 Highly recommend!

It was so fun we decided to learn a routine for our first dance at our wedding. We ended up doing about 10 classes with Mark and it was SOO worth it! Mark’s teaching style is very flexible, adapting to each student’s needs. My wife and I have learned salsa from scratch with him and, occasionally, Terry, over the past year. We have fun and look forward to the lessons. Sometimes, the new moves are complex and unfamiliar at first, but Mark helps us break down the pieces and work through them slowly. Mark uses a variety of tools: from white boarding, to demonstrating, to dancing either the male or female part, to using musical cues, if you have a musical background. We strongly recommend him and Terry. This is the only place we go for salsa lessons! I’d encourage anyone, from beginner to advanced, to meet them and the other teachers, and try out a lesson or class!

[comments] => Wow! Last Friday my friend, Gerald, invited me to take part in one of Mark's fantastic Salsa lessons. Gerald told me he has taken many dance classes and that Mark is one of the best! Unlike Gerald I am a complete beginner when it comes to dance in general and Salsa was completely new to me. There were probably 16-18 people in the beginner class and everyone was having a really fun time, even me! Mark could scan the entire group and immediately point out small things each of us could do to get better. I highly recommend Mark and his assistants who made the class really fun. I sat in on the second class for the more experience Salsa dancers and it was just like the first class but a little more complicated steps but everyone was just having a great time. Wonderful way to spend a Friday night!!!

[comments] => After one private lesson with Mark I am absolutely compelled to write a review. It was an exceptional experience. Yes, Mark is clearly a gifted dancer; I knew this going in. I had seen him in group lessons and was impressed by his energy, his intelligent break down of moves and his supportive but direct approach. He simplifies without sacrificing even the nuances; supportive while still asking for more . . . all the while, his enthusiasm for dancing, for the music, is contagious. The joy he conveys is key to me; without it, how is it possible to relax, to trust oneself to learn . . . and to move? The unusual gift given - even within the space of one lesson - is my renewed understanding of the connection between movement and mind. I did not have any thoughts of this going in - heck, I simply wanted to try Salsa dancing and have some fun. I want to be clear - Mark offers not even a hint of a "woo-woo" agenda. But, perhaps because he's both a gifted dancer AND teacher, I couldn't help but awaken to the truth that my body - my movement - spoke volumes about my spirit; where fear is held, where trust may be absent, etc. It was an eye-opening, spirit-opening reminder that who we are shows up wherever we go. Without a lot of fanfare, Mark seems to understand this and helps suggest how we might get out of our own way.

[comments] => Mark is a fun and very attentive dance instructor– he delivers on his promise that it’s not just learning steps but feeling the music and being in sync with your dancing partner.
I thought that I knew how to dance BUT dancing with Mark changed my perspective, as there is always room for an improvement. I realized I am just a beginner, which was humbling but same time very encouraging. Mark is very professional and puts you at ease learning perfect steps and new techniques.
I started with private classes but now am moving to group class, which is also fun as you can dance with different partners who have their own style under Mark’s watchful eyes.
